The Great Tail Trail

The school has taken part in a design competition under the theme, ‘Save Our Seas.’ The winning design displayed sea creatures swimming amongst plastic. Having been inspired by Pope Francis’ message, the children at St Mary’s are passionate about protecting the ocean. They have undertaken a beach-clean and fund-raising projects such as The Great Tail Trail.
The entries for The Tail Trail Exhibition are being displayed in public locations across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole in the spring.

This tail, not only gives a powerful message about saving our oceans, it also is a sign of HOPE – we have pledged to raise £750 for Julia’s House Hospice. We are very proud of their efforts and the St Mary's Mermaid Tail will be displayed in Bournemouth in April.
Children are invited to come to school wearing festive or party clothes on Tuesday 17th December. In return for this non-uniform day, we are asking for a voluntary contribution to the Julia House charity tail fund. Donations can made on scopay in the 'products' section here
